An unusual case of upper intestinal obstruction: Wilkie’s syndrome

We admitted a seventeen-years-old boy with a history of post-prandial abdominal pain for five years, relieved by
self-induced or spontaneous vomiting. He also presented significant weight loss in the last year. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and barium X-Ray findings were normal. CT angio scan image revealed a reduced aortomesenteric angle and a diagnosis of “Wilkie’s syndrome” was made.
